The Kishon River/Valley was mentioned twice in Scripture:
1. The Battle of Deborah and Barak with the Canaanites (Judges 4). Here, General Sisera came down from his iron chariot and ran.
2. Prophet Elijah executed the prophets of Baal at the Kishon Valley (1 Kings 18)
Kishon River runs from Mt. Gilboa, through the Jezreel Valley, to the Mediterranean Sea. It is 45 miles long with a very shallow river bed. Flooding occurs almost every season. Perhaps Sisera’s iron chariots were stuck in the mud during the battle.
